Kontekst is a personal organiser for tasks, projects, goals, notes and finances. It is run by a private individual for people they invite; there are no ads, no analytics trackers, and your data is never sold. This page explains what is stored, where it goes, and how to get it back or delete it.
Who is responsible
The controller of your data is Aleksandr Terekhov. Contact: alextereh09@gmail.com. Write there with any question about your data or to exercise the rights below.
What is stored
- Account: your Google address, name and profile picture, time zone and settings.
- Everything you put into Kontekst: tasks, projects, goals, notes and materials, people, links, inbox entries, calendar events, finance records, and dashboard layouts.
- A log of changes you make, so that actions can be traced and undone.
- A log of every request to Claude made for you, with the text sent and the reply — you can view it in Settings.
- If you connect them: your Telegram chat id, and read-only Google Calendar access with the events it returns.
- Your own Claude API key, if you add one — encrypted.
Why
To provide the service you signed up for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Error reports and backups serve our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working (Art. 6(1)(f)). Nothing is used for advertising or profiling.
Who else processes it
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) hosts the server; it stands in a data centre in Helsinki, Finland.
- Cloudflare, Inc. provides DNS for the domain and stores backups in its EU region. Backups are encrypted before they leave the server; Cloudflare cannot read them.
Error reports go to a GlitchTip instance on the same server, not to a third party: they contain your user id (not your address), the place of the error and the stack trace, with the text of your records removed.
Google, Anthropic, Telegram and Cloudflare may process data outside the EU, including in the US. They do so under their own safeguards for international transfers (Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
Cookies
Only cookies needed for the app to work: the sign-in session (30 days), and your choice of theme, language, date format and collapsed sidebar on this device. No tracking or third-party cookies, so there is no consent banner.
How long
- Your account and content — until you delete them.
- Finished background jobs — one day, without their content. Error reports — 30 days.
- Backups — nightly copies on the server for two weeks, encrypted copies in Cloudflare for 35 days.
When you delete your account (Settings → Account), everything above is removed from the live database at once, Google access is revoked, and the bot says goodbye. Copies disappear from backups within 35 days. Your address stays on the invitation list so you can come back; ask and it will be removed.
Your rights
You can see and correct your data in the app, download all of it as JSON (Settings → Data → Export), and delete your account yourself. You can also ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing, and complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Security
The site works only over HTTPS. Claude keys and Google tokens are encrypted in the database, backups are encrypted, and only the operator has access to the server.
Changes
Kontekst is not meant for children under 16. If this policy changes, the date above changes too; you will be told about significant changes in the app or by the bot.
